The Washington Toho Koto Society is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a free performance on April 29, 2:00 p.m., at the University of Maryland’s Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. Joining the Koto Society and concert master Kyoko Okamoto on stage will be the University of Maryland Koto Ensemble and performers from Virginia, Florida, and Japan.
