Japan Studies Fellowship
This fellowship, funded by the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnerships, supports scholars and analysts from both the United States and Japan to conduct research on key issues of relevance to the U.S.-Japan partnership, including diplomatic, politico-security, economic, social and international fields. The fellowship finances a three-month or six-month residence in Washington and a one-week research trip to Japan during the fellowship period.
Asia Studies Fellowship
This fellowship supports scholars and analysts in: International relations and conflicts in Asia; Political and economic change in Asia; U.S.-Asia relations; and/or ASEAN integration and community-building efforts. The fellowship finances a three-month residence in Washington and, optionally and at the Fellowship’s discretion, a small grant to cover field research in Asia prior to the start of the fellowship.
